Social Learning Software aims to bring together a widespread enthusiasm for computer applications with important social and behavioural issues. Instead of relying on conventional approaches that so often turn people off, we aim to start where they are, using media they enjoy and find attractive. Social learning software can be used by teachers, social workers, psychologists, careers advisors, youth justice workers, foster carers, health promotion advisors, day centre staff and (of course) parents, carers and advocates. Appropriate settings can include one to one counselling, group work and teaching within the national curriculum. Specific issues include life story work, person centred planning, health issues, offending behaviour and decision making skills and many more.
